Coral comes from the sea and is the vacated housing of a marine animal.  The color range includes black, pink, red, white and blue. Deposits are found along the coasts of the western Mediterranean countries, the Red Sea, Bay of Biscay, Canary Islands, Midway Islands, Japan, Hawaii and United States. Production is increasingly controlled by environmental laws.
