Fossils are the remains of prehistoric life or some other direct evidence that such life existed. To become fossilized a plant or animal must usually have hard parts, such as bone, shell or wood. It must be buried quickly to prevent decay and must be undisturbed throughout the long process.
Rio Pampa Ancient Fossilized Quartzite
(FOS-009 - FOS-017) Quarried in Luminarias - Minais Gerais, BRAZIL. Each with an abundance of fernlike fossils. It is a very hard silvery (reflective) quartzite, with hues of sage green and gray. Has a chiseled (irregular) edge. Each comes with an easel. Measures approximately 13" x 13" x 1/2" and weighs approximately 8 lbs. each
